Meet Plate.
Restaurant marketing software, powered by CravEngine
You run the restaurant. Plate runs the marketing. It holds your menu, your photos, your hours and your customer list in one place — and turns them into a week of posts that are already written, already scheduled, and have never gone out before.
Opening it should feel like “good, this is handled.”
Not “great, another dashboard full of tasks.” That is the entire design brief, and it is why Plate does not open on an empty box asking what you want to post about. It opens on the week, already written.
Everything else follows from that. Nothing in Plate exists to make you feel busy, and no screen exists to show you how much work is outstanding.
One place instead of six.
This is Plate’s actual navigation. Your restaurant on the left, your marketing under it, and one screen at the top that tells you where things stand today.
Plate’s real screen names and grouping, drawn here rather than screenshotted — the caption is one Plate actually wrote
Everything here is built and working.
A week of posts that have never run before
Plate reads your actual menu and writes posts about your actual dishes. It keeps a record of everything that has gone out, so it will not hand you the same idea twice — which is the single thing that kills every restaurant content plan by week six.
It sounds like your restaurant, not like software
You pick how the place sounds before anything is written, and you can pin a caption you wrote yourself as the target to copy. Tell it something is always true about a dish and it honours that on every post about that dish, forever.
Your menu, read straight off a link
Point Plate at your website or ordering page and it pulls the menu in. Anything it is unsure about is flagged and held back rather than guessed at — a wrong row is a two-second fix, but a post built on one goes out under your name.
Your photographs, in one place, with the gaps named
Every photo you have, attached to the dish it shows. Plate tells you which dishes have nothing — and it will never invent a picture of food you serve.
Hours that mean hours
Including the real ones: the Monday you close, the holiday, the week the kitchen is being refitted. Actual dated exceptions, not a note somewhere hoping a person reads it.
An offer defined once
Name it, say when it runs, and say whether it should appear on the website, in your posts, both or neither. Nothing is inferred — a weekly special does not silently become a post, and a promotion ends when you said it ends.
What is scheduled, and what actually went out
A calendar for what is coming and a permanent record of what has run. That record is what makes the never-repeat promise possible in the first place.
The one-offs the calendar cannot know about
Hiring, a closure, an event, a thank-you, a special that came out of the walk-in. Say it in plain words and Plate writes it — without burning one of the week’s ideas.
The site and the software stop disagreeing
Plate publishes your confirmed menu, hours and photos to your live site as data the page reads. The price a post quotes and the price a customer reads are the same price, because there is only one of them.
Your list — and who you are actually allowed to contact
Your customer database in one place, with the thing nobody else tells you: for each person, whether you may email them, whether you may text them, and if not, the specific reason. Unsubscribed is not the same as a bad address, and silence is not consent.
Most content tools die in week six.
Not because they stop working. Because they start handing you the same four ideas again, in a slightly different order, and you quietly stop opening them.
Plate’s memory is the product. It knows every post it has ever given you, every dish it has already covered, everything you told it to stop showing you, and what you told it is always true about a particular dish. That record is what makes the next week different from the last one — and it gets better the longer you use it, which is the opposite of how these things usually go.
What Plate does not do yet.
Plate is early and we would rather you knew exactly where the edges are than found one after you signed up. Everything on this page above is built; everything below is not.
Not built yet
- It does not connect to Instagram or Facebook by itself. Posting runs through an automation that CravEngine sets up for you. Plate hands off the caption, the timing and the photo; the automation does the posting. Plate will tell you a post was sent, never that it was posted — because it genuinely cannot know.
- It does not send your email or text campaigns. The Customers screen reports your list and who you may legally contact. It does not send, and it cannot change anyone’s consent. Sending is something CravEngine does for you today.
- It does not report on results. No analytics, no engagement numbers, no attribution. If someone shows you a restaurant tool with a dashboard of numbers this early, ask where the numbers come from.
- There is no self-serve signup. We set every restaurant up ourselves — menu, photos, hours and voice — because a tool like this is only as good as what is in it on day one.
You can run Plate. Or we can.
Plate is software you can use on its own — plenty of owners want to keep their voice in-house and just want the blank-page problem to go away. But you do not have to touch it at all.
| You want… | CravEngine | Plate |
|---|---|---|
| Somebody to do the marketing entirely | Yes — this is the whole offer | Not on its own |
| To post consistently without hiring anyone | We can run it | Yes — this is what it is for |
| A new website | Yes | No — Plate feeds a site, it does not build one |
| Ads, email and text campaigns run for you | Yes | No — not yet |
| Your menu, photos and hours in one place | We keep them current | Yes |
| To keep your own voice and stay hands-on | We work to your voice | Yes — and it learns yours |
| Both — software you can see into, work you don’t do | This is the common one. You get Plate; we run it around you. | |
Would you rather not touch it at all?
Plate is software you can run yourself. Plenty of owners would rather it just happened — in which case we can run it for you, and you never open it. See what managed looks like →
Get Plate for your restaurant.
We will set it up with your menu, your photos and your hours, and show you around it. If you would rather not touch it at all, we can run it for you.
